Hip Hop
Hip Hop dance is an umbrella term for a variety of street styles including, but not limited to; Breaking, Hip Hop, House, Vogue, Locking, Popping, Waacking and Krump. Each style is a stand-alone style and has its own origins, history and culture, groove, intention, technique and foundations.
Our dance classes focus on and incorporate one or more of these street styles/techniques during the class. Some classes might focus on learning and building on the authentic styles and foundation moves, while others may focus on teaching routines with the groove and authentic moves of street styles included in those routines. Some might do a combination of both – all are valid dance classes.
Commercial Dance
Commercial Dance is the type of dance you see in music videos, TV shows, and adverts. It is what is out there in the commercial world for everyone to see. Commercial dance does not have a specific technique. This doesn’t mean you do not need technique to perform commercial dance well – commercial dance classes usually consist of learning a routine rather than technique or freestyle. New routines are also usually taught each class. Commercial classes are a great way to learn how to pick up choreography fast and work on your performance skills, however, to succeed as a commercial dancer it would be a good idea to also include more technical dance classes including those in street styles.

In-Studio
Our In-studio classes are conducted in our fully equipped dance studios. You will join other students of the same level as you for your classes.
Lesson Duration: 1hr
BD 7 Per Class
Virtual
By taking a virtual class with us you can dance from the comfort of your own home. Students who take these classes will not be considered for examinations and must understand that the teacher’s attention will have to be focused more on the students in the studio.

BD 20 per lesson
Private 1:1 In-Studio
By booking a private lesson you will have the teachers undivided attention which means that you will progress a lot faster than you would in a shared class.
BD 30 per lesson
Private 1:1 At Home
You will have the teachers undivided attention which means that you will progress a lot faster in the comfort of your own home.
Faqs
We have Beginner Hip Hop for ages 5 – 8, then Jr Hip Hop from ages 9 – 13 and Sr Commercial is for ages 14 and above.
Yes, our official uniform is available from the boutique at Victoria Dance Studios.
Yes, we follow the IDTA syllabus.
